A Discussion on Tár

On last week’s episode, Jim and Teal talked about a bunch of new films in theaters and streaming. There was so much to talk about that they didn’t get to the one film they both saw, and loved, Tár. Tár is director Todd Field’s first film since 2006’s Little Children, and what a return! Cate Blanchett bursts through the frame with greatness as a bit of an anti-hero, Lydia Tár. Tár is a musical genius, but she’s complicated, to say the least. In today’s social media world that is ready to jump on any scandal, can Tár survive the times and her ego?

Jim and Teal spend fifty minutes covering this film, and encourage people to seek it out if they are looking for a film that’s ready to challenge.
